My flight boards in 9 minutes. I contemplated asking someone to watch my bag for a few minutes before deciding I did, in fact, not want to pee my pants.
I asked the man sitting across from me to watch my stuff while I ran to the bathroom. I should’ve left it at that. But no, I had to say, “I swear I’m not suspicious.”
Why did I do that? Only a suspicious person would say that.
After I fumbled that interaction, I knew I had to be quick. I hurried over to the bathroom and saw the long line. I was upset. I looked over at the men’s restroom and there was not a person in sight. Why, why, why have we not solved the problem that is women’s restrooms? Why must there always be a line?
