If I learned one thing from watching The Office, it’s that there has got to be a comedian to keep everyone on their toes. This office comedian is my dad. He just told me that when it is someone’s birthday he writes some nonsense on a card and signs a fake name. Why? Because it’s funny? Gotta keep them on their toes. Recently it was Laura’s birthday, so naturally, when the card was passed to my dad he wrote, “I was your age once keep it going and eat oatmeal”. This time no signature. He made a diarrhea joke on her birthday card. Yup, that’s my dad!

Other funny things my dad’s office does:

• Has a big rubber chicken in the kitchen
• Has a WWE-style belt for their bowling tournament
• They once timed each other on how long it took them to take the stairs and made bets on it… my dad was the slowest
  • So, naturally they bought him a magnet that reads “26.2”. A marathon magnet. They got him a marathon magnet. Hilarious!

I can’t think of anything else right now, but there’s tons of funny stuff that goes on in that office. Stay tuned.
