Yesterday, I revisited the Chastain Trader Joe’s with my dad. Trader Joe’s is awesome, but there’s always that one thing you need that they don’t have. My dad figured that there was a possibility Trader Joe’s might just have it. So what does he do? He asks the nearest employee, “Do y’all have liquid smoke?”. The employee stared blankly as they were truly dumbfounded that someone would ask such a question. They couldn’t laugh. They were paralyzed in awkwardness. That poor Trader Joe’s employee, I am sorry you had to deal with that.

Update: it is January 26th and I was looking for a cover photo for this post, and liquid smoke is not what I thought at all. I am now even more confused.
