favorite word gone wrong

Eerie used to be one of my favorite words. From the second it was the answer to the daily NYT mini crossword, I was hooked. I knew about the word eerie, but simply forgot about it because realistically when would I be saying something is eerie? Well, I’m wrapping up (kind of not really) my first campaign, Mr.Appliance. My campaign goes off the idea that fixing your appliances can be scary, because of that eerie has been everywhere. It’s in every image I search: eerie kitchen at night, eerie open microwave, eerie fridge, eerie everything. It’s no longer the fun word that sparked me when it was the answer to the crossword. Now it is eerie the word I see everywhere, especially now because of Halloween, I am being haunted by the word eerie. Stay safe and protect your favorite words.
