I was just at Kroger, begging my mom to let me get Extra-Toasty Cheez-Its. She didn’t understand the appeal. After some convincing (and a passionate explanation), she finally agreed to let us take some home.
Now, I’m eating my Extra-Toasty Cheez-Its, imagining the moment they were created. Here’s how it went (in my head): Jerry’s getting yelled at by his boss for leaving them in the oven too long—meanwhile, his boss’s manager is munching on them, saying, “Wait a second… he just might be onto something.”
I just looked it up, and Extra-Toasty Cheez-Its were introduced in 2015. Great. Does that mean I’ll be telling my kids, “Back in my day, there was a time before the Toasty Cheez-It”?
