Currently on cloud nine freaking out because I just received a voice memo from Lorde. Yup, you heard that right.

The other day, I got an email from Lorde inviting me to join a text community—so I did. I was torn because I was sad I’d miss her long, detailed emails, but I was eager to see what was to come.

Well, I just got a text. A 3-minute, 21-second voice memo. It felt like chatting with an old friend or playing catch-up with someone far away. I got to hear her voice.

This is incredible. Everyone should do this.

I’m literally writing a paper on parasocial relationships right now, so I’m fully aware this isn’t real—but I’ve never felt more connected to her, or other Lorde stans.

Currently texting my Lorde obsessed bff, and she reminded me Solar Power came out going into our senior year of high school and now L4 is going to drop going into senior year of college. All of the stars have aligned.
