What’s a compliment you’ve never forgotten? I’ll go first. One time while waiting in line for the _____(either concert or bar) women’s restroom, a girl passed me as she exited the restroom and said, “OMG! You look like Kate Moss!!!”. I was trying to get my words out to say, “Wow thank you, I don’t really see it, but she was still going on saying, “I think it’s because your eyes are too far apart”.

I don’t remember how old I was when this happened maybe 16/17. I had enough going on. I already had enough insecurities—hell, I was a teenage girl, after all. I am always (not always) getting compliments on my eyes. This was ruined. Everyone must’ve said that because they were staring at me for too long, noticing that my eyes were too far apart, noticing I was noticing them looking at me, and then complimented my eyes as a cover.

Ok, so I might have forgotten the details but I remember that compliment. It stuck.
