mississippi

M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I. Yesterday I met someone who lives in Mississippi, well kind of but not by choice that’s for sure. Imagine you live in Atlanta but go to boarding school in Asheville, NC, and your parents have the brilliant idea to move to Mississippi. I have some friends whose parents decided to move after their senior year of high school to Massachusetts or Florida, and that seems hard enough, but a destination like Mississippi is someplace I hope to never call home. So I asked this kid, “How do you like Mississippi?”. He responds, “Well, the infrastructure sucks”. Don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t want to live in Mississippi, but the infrastructure would not be the first thing that comes to mind when explaining why I don’t like Mississippi. I’m sure there are much worse things in Mississippi than the lame infrastructure, but I hope to never find out.
